Why We Give

When you give, you're trusting God with your finances.

We give because it exemplifies God’s goodness towards the church, the people, and the mission to End Spiritual Loneliness in our city. Giving often isn’t easy, but as we see in Malachi 3:10, it is the one area that God challenges us to test him. And when we do, we get to witness the rewards of God’s blessings and be reminded that God will always provide us everything we need.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” -Malachi 3:10 NIV

Give via Cryptocurrency

Captivate accepts giving via cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin and Ether. These gifts are processed safely and securely and then converted into US dollars.

Give via Stock

Giving assets such as stock allows you to maximize a gift. You can receive a tax deduction for the value of the stock on the day it was given, regardless of the cash basis of the stock. Capital gains taxes are avoided.

Give via Real Estate

Under certain circumstances, Captivate accepts gifts of Real Estate. Donating appreciated Real Estate can afford you significant tax advantages while allowing a substantial gift to the Church that avoids capital gains taxes.

Giving is more than a transaction.

  • How do I edit my giving?
    Pushpay - If you need to edit your giving, you can log into Pushpay by clicking HERE.
  • How do I view my giving statement?
    To access your giving statement online, log into your Captivate Pushpay account HERE. If you've previously logged in, simply click log in. If you are new to Pushpay, create an account to sign up. If you need any assistance, please contact hr@captivatesd.com.
  • What giving option should I choose?
    The Tithes & Offerings giving option is our general operating fund that is used to finance the ongoing operations of the church. We encourage contributors to give their Biblical tithe and offering to this fund throughout the year....
  • Will I receive a giving statement?
    Yes, we provide access to an undated giving statement yearly. Our ability to provide you with a statement is based on having your most up to date contact information. Please log into your Captivate Pushpay account HERE to keep your contact information up-to-date.
  • What is the deadline for annual contributions?
    Cash and check contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31st to be included on your giving statement for that year. Online transactions must be initiated by 11:59pm ET on December 31st to be included. Please contact the Finance Department at finance@captivatesd.com or during business hours at 619.365.4676 with any questions about the contributions deadlines.
  • How can I give assets to the church?

  • What is Pushpay?
    Pushpay is our giving platform that allows you to choose your campus and give a single gift, or schedule recurring giving using your checking account, debit or credit card, or Apple Pay.
